La Ferme du Mont Morêt
Amidst the vast fields and forests you will find Ferme du Mont Morêt. The farm, built in traditional half-timbered style (pans de bois), used to provide food for the hospital on Mont Morêt. Now it is a quiet place where you can take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. In summer, Mont Morêt is a paradise for families with (young) children.
Visit picturesque villages with old churches in the area, the Lac du Der (largest reservoir in Europe) with beautiful nature all around, where in autumn thousands of cranes gather. There are several water sports possibilities. There is fishing in the lake or river or climbing in the climbing forest. The old city center of Troyes and Reims Cathedral are well worth a visit, as are the remarkable trees in the forest Les Faux de Verzy. Get to know the product of the region: champagne.
In addition to a short or longer stay, Mont Morêt is also available for events such as a family celebration, wedding party, workshop and other gatherings.
The campsite
The campsite is spread over an area of about 6 hectares with forest, field, water and centrally the courtyard. This is also where the bar (accueil) can be found. The campsite can accommodate ten to a maximum of twenty tents. Depending on your wishes (view, quiet, near sanitary facilities or remote) we do not have fixed pitches but we do have more than enough space and a nice camping experience for everyone.
There are several animals and a play pen, a playground with sandbox, trampoline and wooden play equipment. There are also swings and climbing frames, and the gnome trail starts at the climbing frames (ask at the bar). There is a pond that can be fished, surrounded by a path and benches to enjoy the view. There are endless mountain trails to explore on and over the Mont Morêt.
Next to the gîte in the former stable complex is a bathroom with toilet and separate toilet. As we move towards the high season and it gets busier the bloc sanitary with 2 toilets, 4 showers and opportunity to wash dishes is in use, on the hill outside the entrance to the courtyard.
